PANO: Russia: World War 3?

As I stated in a letter published in The Times in 1996 and in the 1993 book Russia and World War 3, there is a non-negligible probability of any crisis with Russia spiralling into a military confrontation that might become WW3. I have been studying this problem now for almost 25 years (my first public lecture and letter in The Economist were back in 1990). We are not yet free of the nuclear holocaust possibility, and worryingly I predicted in 1992 that this fatal crisis site would most likely be – Ukraine.

I will give an academic lecture in SSEES (School of Slavonic and East European Studies, University of London) entitled

Russia: World War III – Crisis in Ukraine or Elsewhere in Future

(based on the 2014 book with the same title) at 6.30pm on Thursday 3rd April 2014 in Room 433, 16 Taviton Street, London WC1H 0BW.

All are welcome.  Free Admission.
